Presentation:

This is a comprehensive study that aims to be the theme as its title suggests, what does the Koran from the Gospel and the Torah, it is performed and composed mainly of the wonderful work accomplished by Dr. William Campbell, who has striven to take into account all the Koranic verses on the Torah and the Gospel, in order to be able to define and establish correctly that the evidence makes the Quran vis-à-vis the Torah and the Gospel.

Foreword:

accordance with what was announced, all the verses of the Quran relating to the Gospel and the Torah will be mentioned, however, to avoid overloading the present document, the verses will be similar to others and / or causing no injury to the conclusion within this study will be given as references, a list will be well prepared ... Therefore, if the reader wishes to appraise him by own verses, and if it appears that thereafter, the reader finds that one or more of these verses distort my conclusion, I am ready to hear it.

Also, some Arabic words are translated literally, we will in this way, a better understanding of what we expose the Quran ... This will be the case of expression Baina yadaihi, which gives us the literal meaning "your hands" or "in your hands", but not dwell on this point now, we have indeed the opportunity to come back later.

A. Verses that prove that the Torah was authentic to the time of Jesus: Al

Mary (Maryam) 19.12, middle Meccan period, prior year 7 AH.

God says: "O John (Yahya) take the book with force! We apportâmes him and wisdom, young as he was. "

A2. The family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.48, 2-3 year of the Hegira.

The angel Gabriel announces to Mary Birth of Jesus and said: "And He (God) teaches the Book of Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel."

A3. Prohibition (Al-Tahrim) 66.12, year 7 AH.

"Just Mary (the mother of Jesus) ... had dealt with the true words of her Lord and His Books. "

A4. The family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.49-50, 2-3 year of the Hegira.

Jesus says:" And me Here as a confirmation of this that IS my hands from the Torah and make lawful to you part of what was forbidden you. "

A5. The rank (Al-Saff) 61.6, year 3 AH.

And when Jesus son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! I'm really a messenger of God to you, confirming what IS in my hands from the Torah. "

A6. The plate used (Al-Ma'ida) 5.46, year 10 AH.

" And We launched on their own (those of Moses and the Jews) traces Jesus son of Mary as confirming that which is in his hands from the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel where there is light and direction as a confirmation of what is between his hands from the Torah as guidance and admonition for the pious. "

A7. 5.113.

And when God will say:" O Jesus son of Mary! Remember My favor on you and your mother when I reinforced you with the spirit of holiness! To cradle you spoke to people, then as a man who has reached middle age. And when I taught you the Book of Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel! "

We can summarize the content of these verses:

John the Baptist (Yahya) was ordered to enter the "Book" (A1), Mary, the mother of Jesus believed in the "Books" of God (A3), God had promised, even before the birth of Jesus to teach him the Torah (A2), Jesus said that His Gospel "confirmed the truth of the Torah that is in his hands" (A4, A5) God confirms in the time of Muhammad, whom he had Jesus taught the Torah (A6, A7). We conclude that age in which Jesus lived, there is nothing that says that the Torah or the Gospel would have suffered any damage, however these writings are confirmed as true.

B. Verses that prove that there were true Christians in the time interval between Jesus Muhammad:

B1. The plate used (Al-Ma'ida) 5110-111, in the year 10 AH.

And when God will say: "O Jesus son of Mary, remember My blessing to you ... And when I teach you the Book and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel ... And when I revealed to the apostles this: Believe in Me and My messenger (Jesus), they him (Jesus) said, We believe and bear witness that indeed we are Muslims (Submitters). "

B2. The family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.52-53, 2-3 year of the Hegira.

Then when Jesus felt the disbelief on their part, he said: "Who are my helpers in God?" The disciples said: We are the helpers of God We believe in God and be witness that certainly we are Muslims (Submitters). Lord, we believed in what Thou hast revealed and we follow the Messenger (Jesus). "

B3. The rank (Al-aff S) 61.14, year 3 AH.

O ye who believe! Be the auxiliaries of God, as when Jesus son of Mary said to the apostles: "Who are my helpers in the way of God? The disciples said: We are the auxiliaries of God! A group of son of Israel believed, a group was incredulous. We argued against their enemies and those who believed they won. "

Note that the apostles of Jesus are cited as examples, and that the" disciples " Mohammed is invited to adopt the same behavior as the apostles of Jesus Christ ...

B4. Iron (Al-Hadid) 57.26-27, year 8 AH.

"And most certainly We sent Noah and Abraham, and assigned to their progeny function as a prophet and book. Then, as in who was guided, while many others were perverse.

their footsteps We made Our messengers to follow as we had been following Jesus son of Mary, and We had brought him the Gospel, and placed in the heart of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism they invented - We They were not required ... - We brought their salaries to those of them who believed. However, many of them were perverse. "(Cf. 5.85.)

This verse tells us something interesting that monasticism was not from God, there were genuine believers among the disciples of Jesus, and they received "the reward" (in heaven).

Historically, monasticism began in the 4th century. But men such as Paul of Thebes, already led a hermit's life from the 3rd century. St-Antoine Egypt was the first to organize small groups of hermits in 305. monasticism took root also in the Sinai at the same time.

B5. The Cave (Al-Kahf) 18.10-25, Meccan:

When young people took refuge to the cave, they said: "O our Lord brings us mercy from Thyself, and arranged us a good driving our case. " Yet they stayed in their Cave three hundred years, and added nine.

Yusuf Ali says in several notes to his translation of the Qur'an that this episode could designate seven Christian youths of Ephesus who took refuge in a cave during the persecution and were plunged into a sleep of three centuries. It offers various dates between 440 and 450 as Christian 1'ère period marking the end of their sleep. Yusuf Ali adds that the Wathiq caliph (842-846 CE) had sent an expedition to examine and identify the locality. In his commentary on the verse, Hamidullah does evoke the hypothesis, but thinks that "it is more of a time long before Christianity."

B6. The Constellations (Al-Buruj) 85.4-9, the Early Meccan

"Death to the people of Ukhdûd, fire full of fuel! While they were there sitting, witnesses of what they who has made believers that they blamed for believing in God ... "

In the note accompanying his translation, Hamidullah uses this episode to a Jewish king of Yemen, named Dhu Nuwas, who persecuted Christians in the 6th century, delivering the flames those of them who refused to convert to Judaism. The Caliph Omar built a large mosque in Yemen to honor Christian martyrs. "Yusuf Ali also acknowledges this possible explanation.

The first three quotations from the Koran, let us remember this: the disciples of Jesus were" inspired "by God to follow the Messiah (B1), they agreed to be the "helper of God" (B2, B3), they were the victors (B3). Moreover, even when monasticism developed (B4), that is to say the 4th century, there were still genuine believers.

If Muhammad and his contemporaries in Mecca applied to the events described in B5 and B6 in a Christian context, then we would have a Quranic testimony in favor of true Christians, approved by God at Ephesus (now Turkey) in the year 450 AD. AD, and Yemen in the 6th century, as evidenced by the martyr mentioned above.

C. Verses that prove that the Torah and the Gospel were not altered at the time of Muhammad:

Cl Sheba (Saba) 34.31, Meccan old.

And those who disbelieve say: "We never believe in this Qur'an nor in that which is in his hands (the Torah and the Gospel )..."

Note: The verbs that are used in the present tense for Muhammad and his people are printed in capital letters. Italics are reserved for references made to groups of Jews or Christians as believers sometimes considered, sometimes as incredulous at the time of Muhammad. Their existence and well attested by the Quran we can deduce that there was therefore certainly true believers who have not altered their scriptures.

C2. The creator or the angels (Fatir) 35.31, Meccan old.

"And what We reveal to thee the Book, that is the truth confirming what is between his hands (the Torah and the Gospel )..."

C3. Jonah (Yunus) 10:37, late Meccan Sura.

"The Koran was not invented by another God. This confirms what IS (Torah and Gospel) in his hands, explaining the book sent by the Lord of the worlds and which contains no doubt. "

C4. Joseph (Yusuf) 12 111, late Meccan.

"This (the Quran) there is no story to be blasphemed, but on the contrary confirmed it (Torah and Gospel) which IS between his hands exposed Detailed everything a direction and a mercy for a people who believe. "

C5. Cattle (Al-An` am) 6154-157, late Meccan.

"Then We gave Moses the Book, - Completion of the good he had done and detailed exposition of all things, and guidance and mercy, perhaps they believed would meet their Lord? And here (the Qur'an) a blessed Book which We have sent down so follow it and behave in piety. Maybe you will he have mercy? - So that you should say: Yes, we have sent down the Book which two peoples before us, and we were well in the dark their study. Or you say: If it was that we had sent down the Book (Torah and Gospel) we would certainly have been better guided than they. "

C6. The Believer (Al-Mu'min) 40.69- 70, late Meccan.

"Hast thou (Muhammad) not seen those who dispute the signs of God? As they moved away! Those who reject the book and this (book) with which We sent Our messengers? Well, they'll know when the fetters of their necks and the chains they will be trained. "

C7. Sandhills 46.12, late Meccan.

And before this, there was the Book of Moses as an officer and mercy. This book, however it is a confirmer in Arabic to warn those who prévariquent to be also good news for the doers. "

C8. 46.29-30.

" And when we hoisted towards thee a company of jinns who lent an ear to the Reading (Quran) ... Then, when she was finished, they returned to their people as warners. They said: "People," We have heard indeed a book that was sent down (revealed) after Moses, confirming what is between his hands (Torah). It guides to the truth and to the right path. "

C9. The Cow (Al-Baqara) 2.91, year 2 AH.

And when we tell them: "Believe that God sent down, he said: We believe in what we were sent down to us (the Torah). And they disbelieve the rest, that which is truth confirms this (truth) who is with them (the Torah )..."

Cl0. The family of Amram (Al'Imran) 3.3, 2-3 year of the Hegira.

"He (God) has slowly revealed to you the Book with truth as confirmation of what (the truth) who is in his hands (the Bible). And he sent down the Torah and block the Gospel. "

C11. Women (Al-Nisa ') 4162-163, 5-6 year of the Hegira.

"But those of them (the Jews) who are well grounded in knowledge and the believers believe in what we have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and what was revealed before thee. .. Yes, We have sent revelation as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, Solomon, and We gave the Psalms to David. "

C12. Repentance (Al-Tauba) 9111, year 9 AH.

"Yes, the believers in Paradise! Thus did God bought their persons and their property: they fight in the way of God, then they kill as well as they themselves are killed. True promise which, in the Torah and the Gospel and the Koran lies on him. And who, more than God, is to fulfill his contract? "

C13. The board used (Al-Ma'ida) 5.48, year 10 AH.

" And unto thee (Muhammad) We sent down the Book with truth, as a confirmer of the Book (Torah) which IS between his hands as his protector ... "

In these verses we are in the presence of a powerful testimony to the Torah and to the Gospel writings that appear as authentic and practical present at the time of Muhammad.

The Koran claims to be a "confirmer" in Arabic, the Book of Moses (C7) became necessary because the inhabitants of Mecca could not understand what "the two peoples before them had" learned "a study diligent "or they would have better tracking (C5). In addition, he claims to be an explanation of the Torah and the Gospel, this "book, which contains no doubt" (C3), together with his patron (C13). The Meccan

declare: "We do not believe in the Koran or in what is between his hands from the Torah and the Gospel (C1). Some Jews say they want to believe that this which has been revealed to them, even if the Qur'an confirms the truth of what "IS WITH THEM" (C9). Those who reject (now) the Quran and the Book which We have sent our messengers will be judged (C6). But those of Jews who are grounded in knowledge BELIEVE in what was revealed to Muhammad and in this (the Torah) was revealed before him (Cl1). The jinn also believe in both the Koran and the Torah (C8).

In one of the last suras revealed to Muhammad, that of repentance, it is explicitly stated: "The promise of God is true in the Torah, the Gospel and the Koran. "(C12).

Returning for a moment on the expression in his hands (bath yadaihi) who returned repeatedly mentioned in the Qur'anic text (C2, C3, C4, C8, ClO, C13, as previously in A5 and A6). I chose to translate the Arabic phrase word for word, the only way to make the time now that accompanies these words. The term is often a literal sense " between ", or" in his hands ", but it is most often idiomatically to mean" in the presence of "," opposite "," to someone "," possession "or" at its provision. "Thus the Arabic phrase literally translated "Words are in your hands" actually means: "Go ahead". Similarly, "no weapons in his hands" means "it is disarmed." Sura 34:12 speaks of "jinn who work in the hands of Solomon." Yusuf Ali has translated: "... working in front of him," but in a note he explains: "The jinn are working under his eyes."

These verses therefore give the following general purposes: the Koran would have come to confirm, confirm and verify the Torah and the Gospel are now "in his presence" or "before his eyes." They supported the testimony given by the verses of the other subsections of this section: Muhammad admitted the existence of Torah and an authentic Gospel "in its eyes" ie in his time in his presence that possessed (C9) Jews and Christians!

D. Verses that prove that Muhammad actually cites, or refers the Torah and / or the Gospel:

Dl. L'Etoile (Najm) 53.33-38, the Early Meccan

"Well, see you (Muhammad) who turns his back and gives little, and even interrupts" he at his science of invisible, for it means? Has he not be given what is new in the leaves of Moses and Abraham, the man of duty? That no carrier, indeed, does the wearing of others ... "

D2. The Poets (Al-Shuara) 26192-197, the middle Meccan.

"Yes, this is what the Lord has revealed worlds, and with it the Faithful Spirit has descended upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners in clear Arabic language. Yes, and this IS already in the Writings (Zubur) to the former. Is not that a sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel recognize? "

D3. Ta-Ha 20,133, Year 7 pre-Hijri.

"And they (the Meccans) said:" Why it does not bring us there not a sign from his Lord? Proof of what IS in the old books do not it is their come? "

D4. The Prophets (Al-Anbiya ') 21.7, the middle Meccan.

" Now We sent before thee (Muhammad) but men to whom We revealed. Just ask the people of the Reminder (the Jews and Christians) if you do not know! "

D5.'s Ornament (Al-Zukhruf) 43.44-45, the late Meccan.

" Yes, this (the Quran ) is a reminder, of course, to you (Muhammad) and for your people. And you will soon be interviewed. And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you if We have designated, outside of the Most Merciful, the gods to worship? "

According Baidawi, Jelaleddin and Yusuf Ali, the phrase" ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee "means:" Ask those who were educated by their written and taught their doctrines ". Therefore, these writings and teachings were available at the time of Muhammad.

D6. Jonah (Yunus) 10.94, the late Meccan.

" And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who even before you read the book ... "

D7. The Bee (Al-Nahl) 16.43, late Meccan period

" We sent before thee (Muhammad) but men to whom We sent inspiration. Just ask the people of the Reminder (the Jews and Christians) - If you do not know ... "

D8. The Night Journey (Al-Isra ') 17 101, 1 year pre-Heger:

" We gave Musa nine clear signs, DEMAND (O Muhammad) the Children of Israel ... "

D9. 17107-108:

Say:" Do (the Koran) or do not believe (O Meccans). Those to whom science has been given before that, when it is recited to them, yes, fall on the chin, prostrate ... And that makes them grow in humility. "

D10. The Thunder (Al-Ra'd) 13.43, late Meccan

Unbelievers say: "You (Muhammad) art not a messenger! Say: God is sufficient witness between me and you, and him who has the science the Book. "

D11. Al-Araf 7156-157, late Meccan

"therefore I shall ordain My mercy for those who fear Allah and pay tax for those who are also believers in Our signs, those who follow the Messenger The Prophet nice they are out in full at home in the Torah and the Gospel ... "

D12. 7159:

"And the people of Moses, is a community (UMMA), who guides with the law and thereby do justice. "

D13. 7168-170:

" We have divided the land into community: Among them are fair and others who are not. We have tried them with goods and evils. They may come back to us .... The alliance of the Book has she not been contracted? She FORCED TO DO TELL the truth about God, they have studied the contents of Book ... For those (Jews) who hold fast to the Book, for those who perform prayer. We certainly do not let waste the reward of those who perish. "

D14. Cow (Al-Baqara) 2113, year 2 AH:

And the Jews say: "Christians are not in the right!" . And the Christians say: "The Jews are not the true, and yet they read the book.

D15. The Family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.23, 2-3 year of the Hegira:

" Do you not seen those to whom we gave a portion of the Book and have been invited to the Book of God (Torah) to be their judge? Then a group of them turn back: the indifferent. "

Commentators apply these verses in different incidents, but they are united in the belief that Jews were sent to Muhammad and asked his arbitration. Muhammad suggested that they refer to their scriptures, they refused and left.

D16. 3.79:

It would be inappropriate for a man to whom God gave the Book and wisdom and dignity of Prophet, say to people: 'Be worshipers outside of God ", but" Be true devotees (rabbaniyin) of the Lord, because you teach the Book and because you are studying.

D17. 3.93-94:

"All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel itself is forbidden before he was sent down the Torah. Say: Come with the Torah and recite it, if you are truthful! So anyone after that blasphemy against God a lie ... they are the transgressors. "

D18. The Women (Al-Nisa ') 4.60, 5-6 year of the Hegira

" Hast thou (Muhammad) not seen those: who indeed claim believe in what We have revealed, and which was revealed before thee? They want to relate to Taghoot (idols), although they received the order (in the Torah) not to believe in themselves. The demon wants to throw them into a deep delusion. "

D19. The Victory (Al-Fath) 48.29, 6 year of the Hegira:

"Their mark is on their faces (those of Muslim believers) the trace of prostration. That's the image we give them in the Torah. And the image that we give them the Gospel, is that the seed which sends forth its shoot, then God strengthens and thickens, then it stands on its stem, delighting the sowers. "

D20. Plateau used (Al-Ma'ida) 5.43, year 10 AH

"But how can they (the Jews) to take you to court: they have near them the Torah which is the ruling of God. "

D21. 5.47, year 10 AH

"Let the people of the Gospel judge men according to what God are revealed. The wicked are those who do not judge people by what God has revealed. "

D22. 5.65-68:

" Yes, if people of the Book had believed and feared God, we could erase their bad actions; We should have brought in the Gardens of Delight. If they had observed the Torah and I'Evangile and what has been revealed by their Lord, they would have enjoyed the goods of heaven and those on earth.

There is among them, people (ummah) moderate but many of them are evil. "

Say: O People of the Book You do not press anything, as you do not observe the Torah , the Gospel and what you have been revealed from your Lord. "

The preceding verses show a continuous presence of an authentic and genuine Torah Gospel at the time of Muhammad and these writings were recognized as well by Muslims as non-Muslims.

In Mecca, which turns an unbeliever knows what IS in the leaves of Moses and Abraham (D). A clear proof has been provided them in what IS in Writings to former (D3). Muhammad appealed to "those who possess the knowledge of the Book" (D10).

Some texts say that the announcement of the Koran "IS (included) in the writings of the ancients "and that" the scholars of the Children of Israel ACKNOWLEDGE (D2). Those to whom knowledge had been revealed before BELIEVE in him (the Koran) (D9). Some Jews are fair and "hold fast to the Book" (Torah), but others refuse to acknowledge Muhammad although they have carefully studied their paper (D13).

Jews and Christians "read the Book" (D14) and "teach the Book" (D16).

Some Jews are just (D13) that guide with the law and exercising justice (D12) among Jews and Christians, there are moderate people (D22).

The Meccans are urged to "Ask the people of the Reminder if they do not know" (D4, D7) and to "ask those whom God has sent messengers" that is to say, to ask the educated people in their writings and in their doctrines (D5).

Muhammad is invited to "ASK those who READ the book before him, he doubted" (D6), and "the children of Israel" about the nine clear signs given to Moses (D8).

It compares the Muslim faithful to those who prostrated themselves as indicated by the Torah to illustrate the faith of believers (D19).

Muhammad invited the Jews to bring the Torah so that it is their JUDGE (D15). Moreover, Muhammad urged them to MAKE the Torah and recite it if they are truthful (D17).

God asks Muhammad why the Jews to find him, then they HAVE the Torah which is the ruling of God (D20), and Christians are exhorted to judge by what God has revealed in the Gospel ( D21).

God declares that the Torah and the Gospel are at home (D11). In the last Surah Muhammad received the Qur'an Plateau served (Al Ma'ida), in the year 10 AH, Jews and Christians are put in front of the same complaint: You do not press as you can not find the Torah and the Gospel and all that was revealed by your Lord (D22).

Here the hadith that reports about this passage (D22) Ibn Ishaq, one of the commentators:

"Rafi, son of Haritha and Salam Ibn Mashkum and two others came to find Muhammad and said: "O Muhammad! Have you not said to be a follower of the religion of Abraham and his faith? Do not you believe in what we have and the Torah attests not you she really pulls its origin from God? "

He replied:" Yes! But in truth, you have invented new doctrines and you deny its contents on the covenant God made with you and you hide what you were asked to reveal to humanity. That is why I separate myself from your ideas. "

They resumed:" As for us, we stick to what is in our hands, and we follow the truth and direction, we do not believe in you and do not want to follow you. "

Then the great and glorious God reveals: Say: O People of the Book! You do not press anything until you fail the Torah, the Gospel and all that was revealed by your Lord. "

If this hadith is true then it proves that Muhammad believed in Torah which had the Jews of Medina in the year 10 AH. Even if it is not a strong hadith, it is nonetheless an important testimony in favor of the Muslims' awareness of the first two centuries of the Hegira, the Torah and the Gospel in Arabia.

Besides the hadith above, we have 22 passages discussed in this paragraph and 13 others discussed in the previous, 35 total citations, certifying that existed during the lifetime of Muhammad, a Torah and Gospel Authentic!

Muslims may claim that the Torah and the Gospel Authentic widespread in Saudi were different from the corresponding contemporary writings. But where passed this Torah and the Gospel Authentic? We can assume that Muslims would have kept the books of such importance in one of many libraries spread throughout the Islamic world, even if only to help Jews and Christians to "observe the Torah and the Gospel ". This would allow us also to compare these specimens with those preserved by Jews and Christians.

But we need to face the fact there is no such writings. No copy of this Torah was found allegedly different! There is only one Torah to the world and it is in the hands of Jews and Christians well there is only one Gospel to the world, and it is in the hands of Christians.

E. The verses which prove that the Torah and / or the gospel are good, but these verses do not clearly specify their age:

In the introduction to this chapter I stated that a serious study of a subject required that all verses and all the data on this subject are cited. Some 55 other Koranic passages mention the Torah and the Gospel, but none of them confirm or disprove the existence of these books at the time of Muhammad, I just do not give a complete list of these references.

The following references:

74.31, 87.18, 25.35, 35.25, 34.23-24, 54.43; 37114-117, 19.28-29, 21.48, 29.27, 29.46-47, 32.23, 40.53-55, 41.45, 42.15 , 45.16-17, 45.28-29, 46.10, 11.16-17, 28.43, 28.48-49, 28.52-53, 23.49, 13.36, 17.2; 17.4-7, 17.55, 20.06, 6114, 6124, 98.1; 2.1-5; 2.53 , 2.87; 2121, 2136, 2144-145, 2176, 2213, 2285, 3.65, 3.81, 3.84, 3.99, 3119, 3183-184, 3187; 62.5, 4.51, 4.54, 4131, 4136, 4150-153, 4171; 57.25 , 5.62, 5.85-86.

F. Verses which attest the differences and struggles between Christians

Fl The Consultation (Al-Shura) 42.13-14, late Meccan

"He has commanded you, in matters of religion, the way he had directed Noah, and that which We reveal to thee and that which We enjoined on Abraham and Moses and Jesus, C is this .. "Make religion, and do not diverge." ... They were divided by rebellion among them, only after knowledge had come. And if a word from your Lord n 'had not taken the lead up to a term called, everything would have been decided between them! Yes, and those that the Book was given as an inheritance after these people are in any doubt about it that leads uncertainty! "

F2. Proof (Al-Baiyin) 98.14, primitive period in Medina:

" And those to whom the Book was given did not become divided until after the evidence came to them. "

F3. The Cow (Al-Baqara) 2253, year 2 AH:

" To Jesus son of Mary We gave clear proofs and strengthened him with the holy spirit. And if God had wanted people who came after them would not have killed each other, after clear proofs had come to them but they began to play: some of them believed and others were incredulous. "

F4 . The Family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.19, 2-3 year of the Hegira:

"Those to whom the Book was given did not have fought, rebelled against each other, after knowledge had come to that."

F5. Plateau served (Al Ma'ida) 5:14-15, iodine Hegira year

Among those who say: "We are Christians, we accepted the covenant," some have forgotten some of what they were reminded . We raised them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection ... God will soon show what they did.

O People of the Book! Our Prophet came to us. It tells you a Much of the book that you hide. It repeals much. "

These passages teach us that Christians were divided (Fl, F2) because of jealousy and hatred (F2, F4), they had disputes (F3, F4), so does God raised He hostility and hatred between them (FS) to kill each other (F3).

It is even said that they forgot a part of their Book and their covenant (F5), that 'they hid a large portion (F5) and they are in any doubt that leads to uncertainty (F1).

Yet as we have already noted in paragraph B, it says here that "Some believed "(F3).

Christian and secular history confirms the existence of differences and bloody fighting between Christians. The Coptic Church of Egypt was declared heretical by the Roman and Byzantine churches. Yet they were all based two on the same Bible, it is also the same between Shiites and Sunnis, which, although both Muslim movements and with the same Koran, does not it less violently opposed.

None of the passages statements accusing Christians of having tampered with their unbelieving Bible, much less can we believe that faithful Christians have dared to do!

G. Verses that prove that the Jews refused the Koran, tried to change it or hid their own verses from Torah and dismissed its significance

Gl. The Cattle (Al-An `am) 6.89-92, late Meccan

" To them (the prophets from Noah to Jesus listed in verses 84 to 86) whom We gave the Book and wisdom and function of a prophet. If other then do not, obviously we entrust these things to people who are not disbelievers. They do not measure God's true measure when they say God has not revealed anything about a human! Say: "Who has sent down the Book which Moses brought as a light and guidance for mankind, that you lay out for the show, but ye hide much and by whom you were taught that you do Did not your ancestors? "... Here is a Book which We have revealed, blessed, verifying that which IS between his hands (the Torah) - that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her. "

G2. Hud (Hud) 11 110, Meccan Late:

"And certainly We gave Moses the Book. Then there diverged. And but one word from thy God had taken the lead, everything would have been decided between them Yes, they are about it, a doubt which leads to uncertainty. "(Same idea 10.93)

G3. The Cow (Al-Baqara) 2.85, year 2 of AH:

"Do you think a certain part of the book and keep you unbelievers against another! What will be the reward for those among you who does so, if not to be humiliated over the life of this world and to be delivered towards the ultimate drive, the Day of Resurrection? "

G4. 2.89- 90

"When a Book from Allah, confirming what they have with them (the Torah) their reached ... they do not believe ... How awful is that against which they have sold their souls! "

G5. 2.97,101:

" He (Gabriel) who was sent down to your heart with God's permission the Book confirming what is between his hands (the Torah) ... When a prophet sent by God came to them, confirming what they have with them (the Torah), several (Fariq) of those to whom the Book had been given behind their backs rejected the Book of God as if they knew nothing (of what was in it). "

G6. 2140:

" Will they say: 'Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, they were really Jewish or Christian? " Say: 'Is it you, or God, who are the wisest? " Who is more unjust than he who conceals a testimony that A God? "

G7. 2146:

" Those to whom We have given the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons. Yes, yet some of them conceal the truth while they know! "

G8. 2159:

" Those (of Jews) that hide the obvious signs and the direction that we found since we have made them known to men through the book: that those whom God has cursed. "

G9. 2174:

" Those who conceal what God has sent down because the book and sell it cheaply, those that do bellies of Fire. "

G10. The Family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.69-71, year 2 - 3 AH:

"Part (Ta'if) people of the Book to lead you astray: they lead astray but themselves and they do not have consciousness.

O People of the Book! Why are you incredulous to the signs of God, then you are witnesses?

O People of the Book! Why do you hide the truth in the lie? Why do you hide the truth, then you KNOW? "

G11. 3.75:

" Some of the People of the Book you will make the dower you have given them. Others will make you the dinar that you have entrusted them that if you harass them. "(Translated by D. Masson)

G12. 3199:

" Yes, there are some people who certainly believe the Book in God and what was sent down to you and in what hath been revealed to them, they are humble before God and do not sell God's signs for a miserable price. That those whose wage is with their Lord. Verily, Allah is swift in reckoning. "

These verses refer to several charges against the Jews. They have strayed from the Torah and have a great doubt (G2). They write their books and do some shows and hides a lot, depending on what they want Muslims see (G1).

But the most serious accusations against the Jews about their attitude towards the Koran. They refuse to believe in the Quran (G3) and reject God's signs (G10). They sell the signs of God and their own souls for a cheap price (G9, G12). They hide the truth - that is to say the testimony given to the Koran - in their scriptures (G6, G7, G9, Glo) and conceal the truth about the Koran under the lie (G10). They accept only part of the Koran that suits them and reject the rest (G3), they reject the book behind their backs (G5).
However
the Qur'an declares that they have the Torah with them (G4, G5) and testifies to the truth of the Torah is "their hands" (G1, G5). Jews have a testimony of God (G6), they are "witnesses" (G10) and have knowledge (G7, G10), they read the book.

Another verse that best summarizes the ruling of the Qur'an is taken from the Sura of the Cow (Al-Baqara) 2.40-44, dated year 2 AH. We read

"O son of Israel ... believe that I have revealed, confirming what IS WITH YOU (the Torah). Do not be the first to disbelieve; not barter my signs for a miserable price ... Do not hide the truth by coating of lies ... You enjoin men to goodness, while you yourselves forget? You read the book. "

The Koran is therefore in support of the truth of the Torah that is with the Jews and they are studying. Unbelieving Jews await the goodness from the others, but they forget the practice themselves because they lie in denying the Koran and hide in their scriptures, the truth about him.

The Koran also recognizes that some of the people of the book is perfectly honest (G 12), it believes in God and that some Jews accept the Koran as well as the Torah.

But notice that none of the verses mentioned shows any reproach from God, accusing the unbelieving Jews have changed the words of the Torah, and Jews as Abdullah Ibn Salam and Mukhairiq who accepted the message of the Prophet and became Muslims would certainly not bring any changes to the Torah.

H. Verses that speak specifically tahrif:
H1. The Family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3.78, 2-3 year of the Hegira:

"Yes, and there among them (the people of the Book) who roll their languages with a prescription for you to believe it is the Book, then it is not the book, and they say 'It comes from God', then it does not come from God. And they tell a lie against God. So they know! "This verse

openly accuses the Jews of distorting the words during their reading. They do it for their listeners to believe that it is other words of the Torah, and Therefore, God. Quranic Verse foils the ruse by saying "it does not come from the book, and there is no God."

H2. Plateau used (Al-Ma'ida) 5.13-14, year 10 AH

"And God most certainly took the commitment of the children of Israel. We suscitâmes and twelve counts of them ...

And because of their violation commitment, We have cursed them and hardened their hearts, they divert the word of his senses and abandoned a good part of that by which they were recalled. You do not cease to glimpse of the betrayal from them except a few of them, forgive them and passes. Yes God loves the doers of good. "

unbelieving Jews, whose heart was hardened because they violated the covenant," have hijacked the word's meaning, "and forget (deliberately) a part of their law ".

Taken alone, this verse could mean that the Jews with a knife cut out parts of their Torah to change words or delete whole passages. But the sections D and E, and the reference H6, showed that the Qur'an sees the Torah as "being with Jews" as "being read" by them as "having the command of God" in it.

therefore he must want to accuse Jews of concealing certain verses and read others out of context, as confirmed by the well-known example of the verse on stoning. This is called in Arabic al-`nawi tahrif or" change the meaning. "

But we must strongly emphasize that little phrase "except a few of them". This evidence demonstrates that there was some honest Jews who believed, as confirmed by this other quotation from the Koran. These Jews would never have agreed to modify anything or in the words nor the meaning of Torah.

H3. The Family of Amram (Al 'Imran) 3113-114, 2-3 year of the Hegira

"They are not all equal. It is, among the People of the Book, a staunch community who, during the hours of night, prostrating themselves recite the verses of God. They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin and forbid what is wrong, and contribute to good works. These are good people ... "

H4. Women (Al-Nisa ') 4.44-47, 5-6 year of the Hegira

"Hast thou not seen those who have expressed Book buy error and desire that you get lost the way?

... It is among the Jewish who displace words from their meaning and say: "We had heard, but we have disobeyed," or "Look no one to make you hear," or "us Promotes" (Ra ' ina), twisting the language and attacking religion.

If they had said: "We hear and we obey," and "Listen" and "Look at us" it would be best for them and more upright. But God has cursed them for their unbelief, then, except a few, he will not believe. O you who have been given the Book, believe in what We have revealed it (Quran) in confirmation what IS WITH YOU (Torah), before we delete the faces ... "

The accusation is made against" those (some of) the Jews "who" hijack the word's meaning ", but the examples clearly show that these are the words of Muhammad. (we have a similar case in Sura 5 :44-46) Yusuf Ali explains this attitude admirably in his note accompanying this text:

"A trick that 'used the Jews was to twist the meaning of words and expressions to ridicule the most solemn teaching about religion. So they should have said: "We hear and we obey," they said aloud: "We obey" and added, muttering: "We disobey" and instead to declare with the utmost respect: "We hear," they added in a low voice "that does not mean" to irony. When they wanted to attract the attention of the Master, they used an ambiguous formula, apparently innocent, but actually intentionally disrespectful. When the Arabs want to say "Please, pay attention!" They employ with profound respect the expression 'Ra'ina' which also means "Look at us." With a contortion of their languages, these Jews pronounced something like 'O you who we pastured! "

H5. The Cow (Al-Baqara) 2.75-79, year 2 AH

A claim of Muslims to assert that the Torah was falsified by the Qur'an is primarily located in the verse 79 of Sura 2, we thus propose to study this verse in its context, to understand what it really is, in light of what has already been discussed previously:

and analyze this verse as a whole:

75. - Well, hope you [Muslims], that such people (the Jews) will share the faith? while a group of them, having heard and understood the word of God, and perverted knowingly.
76. - And when they meet the believers, they say: "We believe" and, once alone together, they say: "Will you give the Muslims what God has revealed to you to provide, as an argument against you before your Lord ye then no sense? ".
77. - Do not they know that in truth God knows what they conceal and what they reveal?
78. And there are among them illiterates who know nothing except the Book claims and they only conjecture.
79. Then woe unto those who write their own hands a book and then present it as coming from God to get a little price! - Woe them, therefore, because of what their hands have written, and woe to them because of what they earn! Sura 2

These verses indicate that a group (not all) of Jews after having heard the word of God (the Koran) says he understood, but later turned away as explained in these verses in the same sura:

"When a Book (the Qur'an) from Allah, confirming what they have with them (the Torah) came to them ... they did not believe them ... How this is awful against which they have sold their souls! "Sura 2.89-90

And when we tell them:" Believe in that God sent down, he said: We believe in what we were sent down to us (the Torah). And they disbelieve the rest (the Quran), that which confirms what is truth (the truth) who is with them (the Torah )..." Surah 2: 91

"He (Gabriel) has been reduced on your heart with God's permission the Book confirming what is in his hands (the Torah) ... When a prophet sent by God came to them, confirming what they have with them (the Torah), several (Fariq) of those to whom the Book had been given behind their backs rejected the Book (the Koran) as God's they knew nothing (of what included). "Surat 2.97,101

Thus this verse 2:79. Then woe unto those who write their own hands a book and then present it as coming from God to draw a little price! - Woe to them ,

Speak simply a group of Jews (not Christians) who listens to the Koran (thus the time of Mohammed) composed (not falsifiére!) as a book from God to draw little price. It is NEVER said that Jews have falsified the Torah. As we watch these next verses cited, the Torah that Jews have with them is genuine, because the Qur'an confirms the Torah that Jews HAVE WITH THEM:

"When a Book from Allah, confirming what they have with them (the Torah) came to them ... they did not believe them ... How awful is that against which they have sold their souls "Sura 2.89-90

And when we tell them:" Believe that God sent down, he said: We believe in what we were sent down to us (the Torah). And they disbelieve the rest, that which confirms what is truth (the truth) who is with them (the Torah )..." Surah 2: 91
Moreover, even assuming that this verse (2: 79) speak of forgery, which would contradict the Koran, and that thought Mohammed 1st and Muslims, it would be reported while the falsification on the part of some Jews and NOT Christians this is the time of Muhammad, and not before. And since we have thousands of copies of the Torah and the Gospel from before Mohammed and the Qur'an never says that Christians have falsified their book, while the Koran is said to be a detailed account of ALL or nothing is omitted, we conclude that the Qur'an never says that the book we have, which predates Mohammed has been tampered with!

Conclusion:
summarize what we have Education alleging that the Koran gives the Torah, the Gospel and the people of the Book, the various groups of Koranic verses.
Group A. True Torah was known of John the Baptist (Yahya, Mary, Jesus and his disciples in the first century.
Group B. The Qur'an confirms the existence of true Christian believers at least until the beginning of monasticism, about 300 -350 AD. It is reasonable to assume that these faithful believers did not alter their own Gospel, the Qur'an designates otherwise false believers.

Group C. The Qur'an confirms the truth of the previous books that are "his hands" that is to say "in his presence" or "under his eyes." These books are with the Meccans, but since they could not understand the previous books, he had to give them the Arabic Koran.

Group D. According to the Koran, God himself, or Muhammad who ordered it, appeals to the Torah and the Gospel more than twenty times. Muhammad asked the Jews to bring the Torah to resolve a dispute. People read the Torah and the Gospel who are with them.

Group F. Christians have split and fought each other, and they forgot part of the book, but no verse affirms that they have altered or corrupted the text.
Groups G and H. Some Jews AT THE TIME OF MOHAMMED guilty of al-al-`nawi tahrif because they hide things that are written in their books and release sections that do not suit them. They reject the Qur'an, are lying, sell God's signs for a miserable price, and are doubly guilty because they transform tahrif also the explanations given by Muhammad. But nothing in all this indicates that even the unbelieving Jews have altered the written text of their Torah anyway, Jewish believers have not been altered and would not have tolerated that others do.
The Qur'an declares itself in the Sura of the Cattle (Al-An `am) 6.34:" And no one can change the words of God ", an assertion repeated in Surah Jonah (Yunus) 10.64:" No changes to the words of God. "

Our study of the Koran leads therefore the only possible conclusion: the Qur'an never says that our book, Torah and Gospel would be falsified, unlike the Koran confirms its authenticity. Furthermore, since no Muslim has ever found in Islamic libraries a Torah or a different gospel different, and since no archaeological discovery has created update an inscription that is different from those of the Torah and the Gospel "who are with us," We are absolutely convinced that books, the Torah and the Gospel which we possess are considered by the Quran as authentic.
